RPGVault has lined up a report on Earth and beyond. As with most if not all E3 demonstrations, what was shown of Earth and Beyond definitely made a very positive impression. However, as is also typical of the show, only a small portion of the game was actually on display. Taking into consideration that online games are meant to have enough scope to be played for months or even years, it's basically impossible to show more than a small number of significant elements in half an hour. Further compounding this is the fact that demonstrations have to be aimed at the show's main target audience of retail buyers who may have little or no advance knowledge of titles. As a result, it's still premature to assess Earth and Beyond or how it will play. What I can say, however, is that having had a first look, I'm definitely eager to see more. At the present time, beta testing is expected to begin this summer, with release projected for winter. In addition they also have lined up the visuals they came back with from E3, covering Art of Magic, Arx Fatalis, BIS: TORN, Earth And Beyond, Kohan: Ahriman's Gift, Midgard and Pool of Radiance 2
