Gamers Pulse is the next site to review Asheron's Call - Dark Majesty. With a rating of 62%, they aren't too fond of the game, and their conclusion reflects that feeling pretty well:

One last thing to mention, and that is that this game is an MMORPG that leaves me with some doubts regarding the first M. While the total population of the servers seems to fluctuate in the 10,000 area, in an average town I've visited I have found no more than ten other players, with far lower numbers in the wilderness or dungeons. I never had to camp anything for loot (a good thing), but at the same time I had a rough time finding a group of people to create a fellowship with, despite the fact that my main character was a competent offensive mage with some decent healing capabilities as well. I may have inadvertently chosen an unpopular server (Solclaim), but the population of the game wasn't broken down by server so I couldn't be sure.

I honestly see little reason to buy this game if you don't yet own AC (it's a standalone, so you don't NEED to own the original). If you are looking for an MMORPG, chose DAoC as it is far superior.
