Some impressions of 'EverQuest II: Desert of Flames' can be found at PC.IGN: I guess it was inevitable. When you consider that the original EverQuest eventually spawned something like 200 expansion packs, it's only natural to assume that the sequel would see the same sort of support. For now, Sony's content to offer just one, Desert of Flames. Due out in September of this year, Desert of Flames adds a great deal of content to the existing game.
The expansion builds on the geography of EverQuest II by offering loads of new content in the Desert of Ro. This happy land of "salt flats, mesas, spires and dunes" has a decidedly Arabian flavor, complete with over 40 new creatures and loads of new characters to meet. The dozen or so new zones that make up the area will also give players the chance to try out some more novel additions. |
