The Lyra Network Engine also provides persistent state support through a database (where user accounts and the state of the virtual world are stored in a database and evolve over time.) And, unlike other MMORPG engines, the Lyra Network Engine also offers fast and furious real-time Quake-style 3D combat! Further, after 5 years of production use and 7 years of development it is extremely stable. It is extremely bandwidth efficient and runs well on a poor 14.4 modem connection!
