The latest Meridian 9 newsletter arrived in our inbox this weekend. Here's something about bug fixing and changes in this retro MMORPG:
I've been taking it slow and playing a mortal for a bit. Feedback is great, but there is a lot to be said for getting in there and digging into the game yourself. My focus in the upcoming weeks will be to fix bugs that weren't caught before and to do small tweaks to gameplay.

Please continue to send game balance suggestions to me, Psychochild, via gmail. Bugs should be emailed to bugs@neardeathstudios.com IN ADDITIION to any other way you contact us. It is important for the bugs to be recorded.

    As for the recent changes:

Reduced the drop rate of Dispell Scrolls. These were more common than intended.
Fixed spawning in one of the buildings in Brax.
Fixed Duke and Rebel faction troops to use the proper insignia.
Attributes now leave an item when it breaks. So, that cursed mace will now become uncursed when it breaks and will no longer stick to you.
Changed the improve rate for various spells. For example, touch spells (such as Touch of Flame, etc) will improve slower while attack spells (such as Blast of Fire) will improve faster.
Fixed Denial. The spell now takes away health when the enchantment expires as it was intended to. More powerful casts will result in a longer duration in which to escape and heal up. The spell no longer drains mana and vigor, however; mana cost was increased to compensate for this.
