Also ta GameClubCentral is a quick look at Age of Conan:The combat engine follows a new path in that it is a physics interactive model, swings of a weapon are used for combat strikes with the players attributes, weapon type, and speed of swing determining damage. This is combined with a six point attack system, allowing the player to swing upper left/right downward slices, left/right upward slices, as well as thrust and overhand swings. The engine is designed to allow a skilled player the ability to chain moves together to create what they called “The Dance of Steel”. It was easy to see in the demo how someone who mastered chaining moves together could easily swipe out at multiple opponents with ease. Players will not only have mounts, but will be able to engage in mounted combat as well as trample and knock back opponents. |
