Finally, a review of Freelancer at PC Arena. The award it a score of 3.5/5 'arcs' and find some great action but a static universe:
This and other quirks can get really annoying really fast. You can only take silver across the galaxy so many times before you start to get sick of essentially doing nothing for hours on end. As if that wasn’t enough, every mission is at the root, the same. While the guys you fight get a bit stronger and stronger with every passing mission, you’re still doing one of the same three things; attacking a group of enemies, Attacking a base surrounded in enemies or hunting down one particular guy that you need to take back with you. You get bounty or reward at the end of every successful mission and then you upgrade your ship and the weapons / systems on board. Repeat steps 1 – 3… Put simply, it gets old rather quickly.
