In Blizzard's World of Warcraft, players may choose among eight playable races that are evenly divided between two factions. The Horde includes the massive, bull-like Tauren. Hailing from a region of grassy plains, they are normally peaceful, nomadic creatures devoted to maintaining the sanctity and balance of nature. During the invasion of the Burning Legion, they came to be allied with the fierce Orcs, who had arrived in Azeroth from their native world, Draenor, after being taken from it against their will. Somewhat later, the Trolls of the Darkspear tribe chose to swear allegiance to this coalition after the actions of an Orcish leader saved them from extermination. None of these three have any real feelings of good will toward the Undead, but the four are aligned, albeit in a rather tenuous manner, against a common enemy, the Lich King.
