RPGVault has conducted an interview with Project Director and Lead Programmer Sergey Buravtsov about Burut's upcoming RPG GoldenLand. Here's a short bit from it:
Jonric: Please describe the gameworld where GoldenLand takes place. How will it differ from other fantasy-based settings? How large will the world be, and what variety of locations will it contain?
Sergey Buravtsov: The game actions occur in an original, unique world created by our team. That's why it differs from any other one. The world that is offered to the player presents four unique lands, each of which has it's own characteristics so there are four different kinds of environments in the game.
Some of them are quiet, with climates temperate enough to farm there - Goldenland for example. Some others are desert ones, ruled by vigorous merchants like Marvia, and cold, rocky tableaus where gloomy militant barbarians live - Turbern. There are some more cold areas, called Alberia by citizens of the neighboring state. Alberia isn't too well investigated, but rumors have spread that it is populated by amazons. The World of Goldenland consists of more than 150 locations, including dunes, cozy glades, dirty suburbs and town landscapes plus uninhabited rocky passes, dark caves and ancient mysterious ruins. |
