Computer Games Online has slapped up a review of Primal's fantasy RPG 'The I of the Dragon'. Rating: 81%.
The only major revolution with the RPG genre lately is the MMORPGs, a dream come true for many of us. Of course, this happened as it fits perfectly the massively multiplayer mode but that's not the only reason we today have MMORPGs and not MMOFPSs (exceptions do exist though). On the other hand we can look at it as a natural extension of the first single-player RPGs. Since then, integrating RPG elements in other games become some kind of a fashion which will die eventually as no notable masterpieces have been achieved by taking this route. Right now, when the pure genre faces a visible regress (for the single-player part at least), right now when nothing seems original as it happened lots of years ago, somewhere from the end of the world, a small company thinks diabolically about another kind of protagonist. What if it's not a human or any other strange creature with a humanly form? What if we choose something else which acts in a very different way? What results would we get? Simple. An original game: The I of the Dragon.
