The magic of playing a fun game is simply non-existant, and the magic of characters within the game is nearly useless. Might 9 does get better after the first 10 hours, as some reviewers suggest, but that just represents an improvement from abismal to just plain bad. I finished this one along with every other M&M except VIII, and it is BY FAR the worst of all those that I've played. The game is easy, repetetive, boring, broken, and flat. It has terrible execution in terms of bugs, story, graphics, inventory, documentation, skills, and balance. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME. No amount of patching can "fix" M&M IX. The dev team was fired but it seems as though the business managers should be shot for forcing a game out the door when it was at least 6 months from being finished.
