VideoGamesLife has tossed up a review of Shadowbane. The score is a rather harsh 59% and here's a snip:
Swords are cool. Don’t even think about trying to deny it. The developers of Shadowbane, Wolfpack Studios, certainly know this, with the back-story to their MMORPG Shadowbane revolving around the tale of a legendary blade that goes by the same name. The world of Aerynth is on the brink of destruction, torn apart through the ages by wars carved by the destiny of Shadowbane. Now it’s time for your deeds to save or destroy the remnants of Civilization. Not a bad setting for a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG, we must admit. A nice bonus for European gamers is that this release of Shadowbane incorporates both the original game and its recent add-on, The Rise of Chaos. It’s a good value bundle, when all’s said and done, but sadly Shadowbane doesn’t bring anything new to the massively multiplayer online table.
