DSForge talked to Sarah "Calix" Boulian, level designer at Gas Powered Games about Dungeon Siege. Here's a bit for you:
Q - What was the trickiest part of creating the dungeon siege levels ?

A- The hardest part about designing DS levels is not getting carried away by our own ambition. We have a tendency to aim for creating the most complex and intricate designs we can think of, and commonly we end up having to cut or scale back our levels so they actually run well and have acceptable performance even on the minimum-spec machine. :-P
