Both, Deus Ex 2 and Thief 3 will be utilizing the so called Havok engine for real time interactive physics. The engine has now been updated to version 1.6., the major change being the implementation of the MOPP technology. Huh ? MOPP ? Right, according to the official site it stands for Memory Optimized Partial Polotype and it seems to dramtically increase the bandwidth for graphics operations by compressing data. If you want to learn more about Havok read the full press release but don't expect to understand too much of it if you're not a gfx geek.
