Here's what this MMORPG is all about: In Fighting Legends you take on the role of an immortal hero, referred to as your avatar, leading an army of up to 16 units against your enemies. Your avatar gains levels, as do your units. As you lead your units into battle against your enemies and on quests in the land of Exisle, your avatar can raise some of your units to the level of hero. A hero is immortal and takes your place when your avatar dies of old age. In this way, you progress through many avatars, as one great champion dies of old age and the next great champion steps in to take his place. Your avatar is your most important unit with a 20% bonus to statistics and the ability to raise a base of operations.
