Thanks to Luc Martin (co-founder of the following project), we've learnt about the existence of a highly interesting mod site for Morrowind. Morrowind Mod Central is striving for the creation of a standard for modders and builders to prevent plugin's from negatively interfering with each other or the game itself.
Luc Martin used to be an editor for the highly popular German print mag PC Player (meanwhile out of business) and he's a co-founder of the project. It's just got to be good :)
Here's what the fuzz is all about:The Tamriel Rebuilt Team here realized that there are hundreds of Elder Scrolls fans out there that want to create their beloved world in all its splendor and glory. And we want to play that add-on.
The Tamriel Rebuilt Team will be focusing on creating a standard for modders, and builders. This is for those who don’t want their work to clash with other add-ons to create errors, or crash the game.
We are currently taking suggestions in the forums as to how the standard will be set up. Until the game gets out and we here at Tamriel Rebuilt Project are limited in what decisions we can make as how to accomplish this.
We are hoping that the side effect to this project will be the ability for the player to download add-ons and mods with the “Standard” and be able to play all of them. Thus increasing their play time, enjoyment, immersion, and the quality of the game itself.
Recreating the rest of Tamriel might happen, but it might not. If it doesn’t we here are still sure that something worthwhile will come out of this project.
We want to organize and coordinate all of those talents to try to help enhance a very fun rpg. We also will support some other mods that include new area's, and additions to the game that enhance the world of Tamriel. |
