RPGVault has posted an interview with RedBedlam President and Managing Director Kerry Fraser-Robinson who offers his thoughts on Gladius Online, its background, the team and other related topics:

Jonric: Please describe the game universe. How will it differ from other persistent online worlds? How large will it be, and will there be methods of travel aside from just walking and running, especially faster forms?

Kerry Fraser-Robinson: It's a half-scale map of Europe with a bit of North Africa thrown in. Time doesn't pass in Gladius Online at the same rate as it does in real life so long journeys aren't quite so long… they're about as imposing as they should be though. ;-) There are means of accelerating travel - chariots, horses etc. but generally speaking you'll have plenty to do and explore in your own part of the world. There's Roman and Barbarian presence side by side pretty well everywhere even if in some places the balance of power is way out.
