GPM has posted a review of Troika's 'Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines'. Rating: 86%. - Not sure what their so called "Dev Grade" is all about but it sure looks like they gave Troika a "C" for support of the game which (careful... there's a one of a million opinionated comment coming up) seems fair because Troika only seems to move as long as they are getting paid for it (hint: 'Temple of Elemental Evil' patch - it only happened after Atari paid them for it).The world of Vampire-the Masquerade: Bloodlines comes to life in a variety of ways thanks to Valve’s extremely fine Source engine. Set in sunny California (ok, maybe not that sunny at night) you will find yourself exploring areas such as Santa Monica , Downtown LA, Hollywood and others. This is however not a free roaming game. You’ll wander hubs that are huge areas of exploration, and then travel back and forth between the hubs. For example, in Hollywood you can walk down the street to get to a fancy stripper joint, or take the less traveled streets and go to a dirty peep show. If you do not fancy those human pleasures, you can sneak your way to the cemetery, and pay visit to the caretaker. Everyone should find something interesting to do in those city parts that come alive in the world of vampires. |
