RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Maggot has rated the following games:

Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn: 9/10 points

Great game. Stupid NPC dialogue, though, compared to Planescape Torment.

Betrayal at Krondor: 10/10 points

Great story!

Dark Sun 1 - Shattered Lands: 9/10 points

Great setting. Loved playing a half-giant gladiator. A bit flawed, but unlike Daggerfall, the flaws are not what I remember the most. Was one of the first games to support my Gravis Ultrasound :)

Darklands: 10/10 points

Great game! Huge world to explore, and heaps of activities you could do. I wish we'd see it remade some day.

Dungeon Master: 10/10 points

Fun game, I especially remember jumping at the sounds. (running into a mummy where there shouldn't be one for example)

Elder Scrolls 2 - Daggerfall: 8/10 points

I actually found combat quite fun, but the bugs and random dungeons (where you could fall through the cracks in the floor) mar the experience IMHO

Evil Islands: 10/10 points

Fun game. Great stealth system.

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points

A great game. Fun, turn-based combat, and great non-linear gameplay. The post-nuclear setting is a refreshing change.

Fallout 2: 7/10 points

I have to say that the bugs lower my rating a lot.

Lands of Lore 1 - The Throne Of Chaos: 9/10 points

Very smooth and polished, quite fun.

Might & Magic 2 - Gates to Another World: 9/10 points

One of the games I have spent the most time playing. Excellent gameplay.

Might & Magic 6 - The Mandate of Heaven: 8/10 points

Huge world, suffers a bit from repetiveness and boring dungeons. Skill system is very good, although it's 'advance-by-experience' rather than 'advance-by-use'

Planescape: Torment: 10/10 points

Great storyline, fun and witty characters, a tragic hero (several, actually), what more can you want?

Quest for Glory 1 - So You Want to be a Hero?: 10/10 points

Very entertaining RPG/adventure.

Ultima 7 - Serpent Isle (Sequel): 10/10 points

Better than Black Gate in my opinion, I just wish I'd finished it.

Ultima 7 - The Black Gate: 10/10 points

Not only can you kill stuff, you can also bake bread!

Ultima 9 - Ascension: 4/10 points

Ultima Underworld 1 - The Stygian Abyss: 8/10 points

I found the adventure elements made the game too hard for me. Damned good game, though.

Ultima Underworld 2 - Labyrinth of Worlds: 9/10 points

I found it better than part 1, but not perfect.

Wizardry 8: 10/10 points

Character development is in my opinion what sets this apart from other rpg's. Excellent, with 3d too.
