RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Nate has rated the following games:

Bard's Tale 1 - Tales from the Unknown: 10/10 points

My very first RPG. Compared to today's games, the graphics are crap, BUT when objectively rating a game you must consider the tiem frame alogn with it. For its day, the graphics were standard/good, the gameplay however was really great. This will alwasy be one of my favorite/most memerable CRPGs.

Betrayal at Krondor: 9/10 points

Dark Age of Camelot: 4/10 points

Started out very fun, but bugs, non-implemented but prommised features. Leveling treadmill, no real unique spells for different classes, alot of bland stuff. Somewhat good looking graphics, focus is heavily on PVP which is okay, but 2 or 3 classes own PVP in this game, everyone else is just fodder. Equiptment system is sorta lame too and there are no really cool/unique dungeons/zones whathave you. In a word, this game is: Bland.

Dungeon Master: 9/10 points

My second CRPG I ever played, right after Bard's Tale. This was a huge step up graphics wise and was a dungeon crawl in the strictest sense. It was great fun, great sound/graphics for its time and still withstandable for today. Unique magic system and overall a very fun game.

Elder Scrolls 2 - Daggerfall: 8/10 points

After all the patches, which fixed the unfotunate bugs, what you had was a very fun, play how you want and very customizable CRPG. I would recomend to anyone to add to their collection.

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: Bloodmoon: 10/10 points

comment

EverQuest: 9/10 points

Considering when this was actually developed, it was and even still is a pretty sweet game. Based on a mud I frequent, Sojourn/Toril, it is very familiar. Sure, the people running it had their quirks and Customer Service was lame at times, but the content and world was huge and very attractive considering again, the time/year it was developed. Keep your eye out for EQ2, it will kick some ass.

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points

Chris T is my bitch.

Fallout 2: 10/10 points

Without a doubt, the greatest CRPG of all time.

Icewind Dale 2: 1/10 points

It has infinite replay value! Just install it and delete it again.

Planescape: Torment: 10/10 points

Very involving storyline and a fresh break from the normal "You are the Hero/God/whatever" line of RPG themes.

System Shock 2: 10/10 points

Awesome

Ultima 4 - Quest of the Avatar: 10/10 points

A definite classic, a must own for any serious CRPGer.

Wasteland: 10/10 points
