The gals at Dungeon Siege Vault are the first to publish a review of the press beta of Dungeon Siege. Here's a part of it:
I won't discuss the story anymore until I finish the game, but I did want to point out the highs and lows that I've encountered so far. First the highs. The graphics are just plain awesome; waving trees, detailed landscapes, and more make for a good looking game. The auto-arranging of inventory, and partial drinking of potions is also a god send. Now the lows. There were also some very small clipping problems, such as my character walking through benches, but I would have to say my biggest problem was the sound effects. I don't know if the sounds are placeholders or it's just me, but they don't match the quality of the game. For example; when your arrows hit the skeleton, it sounds more like hitting metal, the sound when you attack something is a bit disappointing and I don't find the voice overs that believable. Keep in mind that this is my opinion and except for that, my first several hours went without a single hitch, which is very impressive for a game that's still in beta.
