HomeLAN has done an interview with Ken Levine from Irrational Games about their superhero RPG Freedom Force. Here's a bit:

HomeLAN - What types of missions will there be in the single player game?

Ken Levine - There are over 22 missions is the single player game and they really run the gamut. In one mission, your team is fighting a communist spy turned super baddie on a frozen aircraft carrier and in the next, you’re trying to figure out why Minuteman, the leader of Freedom Force, has just gone on a bank robbing spree!

HomeLAN - How hard was it to nail down the particulars of Freedom Force's combat?

Ken Levine - It’s a very detailed system and because the power creator is so complex, it’s taken a creepily large amount of balancing and tuning. Because unlike a game with units with fixed stats, everybody has numerous powers, stats and attributes (the powers having literally millions of unique combinations) we had to balance ALL the powers against all the other powers and stats and attributes. Sheesh. Lot of work.
