GameSpy has slapped up a review of 'Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II' for Playstation 2. Rating: 3/5.
In 2001, Snowblind Studios came out of nowhere and served up the finest action-RPG consoles have seen in years. That game was Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and it was my favorite title of 2001. Since the game ended with a cliffhanger, a sequel was imminent. After more than two years it has finally arrived. While the developer promised, "more great gameplay, more spectacular graphics, more slick characters, more gripping story, more magical items to find, more glorious weapons to wield, and more valuable treasure to horde," only half of those promises were delivered. While that would be good enough in most cases, I can't help thinking of a line from the movie Sabrina: "More isn't always better. Sometimes it's just more."
