In a press conference dealing with a host of issues, not the least of which was last week's suicide by a Chinese teen, Blizzard has announced a new host of parental controls for WoW: After creating an administrative password for a child's account, the parent can, through a front-end on Blizzard's website, set hourly blocks of time throughout the week where the child is allowed to play, or choose from a number of presets, such as after-school, weekends, evenings-only. From that point on, all characters on the account are locked in to that schedule, including immediate disconnection if a change is enacted while the child is currently logged in.
