The RTS and RPG genres are everything we fear and, subconsciously at least, hate: oversaturated, whored by publishers looking for a quick buck for the last decade and extremely stagnant. It’s simply wrong that any new idea is immediately seized upon and ripped to shreds in an orgy me “me next” clambering. We’ve saved the girl, we’ve taken over the world and we’ve done it so many times we’re puzzled why they still sell. Hey: that’s life.
