Call of Cthulhu: Interview @ Jaded Gamer

The Jaded Gamer has posted an interview with Bethesda's Pete Hines about Headfirst's horror survival game 'Call of Cthulhu' (Bethesda = publisher).
Many people believe that the Survival-Horror subgenre began with the Resident Evil series. While it is true that Resident Evil brought that style of gameplay to the mainstream, the PC classic Alone in the Dark is what really started it all. Fans of Alone in the Dark should know that it is loosely based upon the work of H.P. Lovecraft. Sadly, games based upon Lovecraft's work have been few and far in-between outside of the pen and paper realm, but thankfully this is all about to change...

I recently had the opportunity to conduct an interview with Mr. Pete Hines of Bethesda Softworks, which is publishing Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. This is looking to be a title that will not only bring Lovecraft's cosmic horror back to gaming, but also revolutionize survival-horror (which has been rather stale as of late). Just remember that in the coming months Resident Evil 4 won't be the only way to get your horror fix!
