It got all you need ( in 1999 of course ) the sea battles, the plot and rpg elements. |

I have mixed feeling about this game. When the action takes place at sea it is worth 10/10, breath taking graphics, great models for storm, water and wind. When on land it is worth 6/10. Awkward movement all port cities look alike. Wait for Sea Dogs 2! |

A few problems with the engine in towns, as Halfdane said, but overall, this game is amazing, especially considering it has been released in the present state of the gaming community, where linear plots abound. Sea Dogs lets you take the storya t your own pace, and many times in a non-linear way. With that, the great graphics, and incredible sea battles, who could ask for more? |

You wouldn't think this is an RPG, would you? There is a surprising depth in the story narrative of Sea Dogs, especially when you compared with its spiritual predecessor, Pirates!. Being put aboard a ship without land action does limit the nature of the action somewhat. |
