ActionVault has posted some first impressions of Archangel, the recently released action RPG by Metropolis Software. The article is rather positive, despite all the negative reviews the game received in Europe. Here's their final paragraph:
Whilst relatively straightforward in terms of the game play on offer in the demo, and with a few bugs still in evidence, Archangel aspires to provide an alternative playing experience from many other recent releases. With the promise of the final version extending beyond mere hack and slash belligerence and arcane sorcery, it is expected that there will be somewhat more cerebral challenges to be completed, in addition to rudimentary item quests. If the title lives up to these expectations and manages to deliver the blend of action, adventure and role-playing elements anticipated, it would seem that interesting times lie ahead for Michael Travinsky when the game secures its North American retail release at the end of this month.
