One of our darlings here at RPGDot is Arx Fatalis, due for the international release in October. IGN.PC now brings you a preview of the game, taking a closer look at various features. Here's a bit:
Arx is no slouch in the design department, either. Although I seem to remember trolls as being short, slimy rapscallions with massive, crooked noses instead of the ogre-type monstrosities seen here, there's a nice variety of creatures to fight and interact with, some small and insignificant, some pants-wettingly large and powerful. Additionally, the environments are quite large and fairly well designed, as well as interactive. There's nary an object in the game that can't be picked up, used, or examined in some capacity or another. These various treats and trinkets can range from everything to food to makeshift weapons to everyday items that are required to complete puzzles.
