RPG Vault's Jonric has conducted an interview with Spiderweb's Jeff Vogel about 'Geneforge III'.
You are a Shaper. That makes you a member of a very secretive magical guild that is regarded as the most powerful of all. Together with your confreres, you share the amazing ability to create life that you can then mold to serve your needs and goals. If you want or require a follower that will gladly sacrifice itself for you, just make one. Should you desire a few of them or even a horde, you can simply construct more. Of course, the people of the world respect you, or perhaps they treat you with deference as a matter of fear. It has been that way for millennia. In any case, you are definitely used to having your own way. It's not even an imaginable scenario that anyone would ever dare to capture you and try to obtain your secrets.

Now well along in development at Spiderweb Software, Geneforge 3 is the company's latest RPG based on its original science fantasy property that began as outlined above. In this episode, a disaster has taken place. Your school has been attacked and destroyed. Rebels and monsters have begun to roam the land, bringing fire and desolation. The rule of the Shapers faces a serious challenge. You are alone in a foreign land. On your own, you will have to gain sufficient power and enough allies to defeat the insurgents. Then again, they also seem rather eager to recruit you. Here at RPG Vault, we've been following Jeff Vogel and his award-winning shareware games for several years. As a result, we've had our eye on the next one, waiting for the chance to learn more about it. Recently, such an opportunity arrived.
