Until recently, all the press got to see of Jade Empire was its (highly polished) combat engine, in the context of a tightly controlled demo setups that didn't give away much of the plot. After visiting Bioware's Edmonton offices and playing the first hour or so of the game, complete but for some polish and tuning, we got to see more, and we like what we see.
