EQ Vault has posted the second part of their Ask SOE feature with Steve "Moorgard" Danuser, the new EQII Community Manager, answering some fan questions:Lepidus: It has been said that the world will be dynamic, and that it will be shaped by player events. Does this mean that players will actually have an impact on the world? To what extent? Does this go deeper than just the economy?
Steve "Moorgard" Danuser: The world of EverQuest II is dynamic in the sense that NPCs learn things about you and remember what you do. One of the ways that players can have a direct impact on the world is through exploration, for example. As Norrath has recently experienced a major cataclysm, much of the world outside the two human cities must be rediscovered. The first players to set foot on these new frontiers will be remembered by the inhabitants of those realms. Additionally, the actions you and your allies take can affect the NPCs that reside in certain areas. The world is immersed in a conflict between good and evil, and your involvement can impact which way the pendulum swings. |
