Peter Tyson informs us about two Dragon Empires interviews. The first one is at DE@taliras.net and talks to Peter Tyson himself. This is a bit for you:
5. The most important part of Dragon Empires is the clans system. How do you expect this to affect the game?

A lot! I think our system is nice and elegent. Players will get the controls over their clan that they need. There will be clan chat and mail systems and I think a vote system too. There will also be out of game functions like XML data from the servers that can be put on private pages or displayed on the game pages which can show off the power of your clan and members.
And then there is the second part of a DE interview at Just RPG. Again, we serve you an excerpt:
Q:Please tell us about a memorable day you have had working at Codemasters and with the Dragon Empires team.

A: Recently we had a lot of fun with a voice actor coming in to do work. Voice acting is often unnoticed in games, except when it goes wrong! However, it is important to fill the game with atmosphere. In Dragon Empires we want to have our characters making noises when they attack or use the right skills, when they are hurt, when they /laugh or /yawn. Thus, you need a voice actor.

The guy we got in has worked with us before and also did all of the voices on Black and White as well as working on Episode 1 of Star Wars (he was one of the Trade Federation races and a “three eyed cow in the assembly”). He had a lot of great stories to tell and as you would expect was very funny to listen to. He did a perfect impersonation of Michael Jackson and many others, the MP3 of which has been passed around the studio a few times.

On top of that he did a great job of making some good sounds for our characters to use. We have to call him back for two more sessions which should be just as fun I imagine!

Other than that, right now my days are filled with checking the message boards, answering emails, dying to Prodigy at lunchtime Battlefield 1942 and writing up documents for our customer service plan.
