Knightshift (aka Once Upon a Knight) has been previewed at UGO. Here's some of the comments on this humorous RTS/RPG hybrid:
Now, think of how good you'll feel once you complete an entire single-player campaign, only to know that you've got another one a click away. The RTS campaign focuses on army building rather than a single character, and you'll be able to control dozens of units in order to wipe an evil force off the planet. To this end, you'll be able to employ 12 different units, some of which exhibit a sense of humor that might be put to good use in the game's (I wish...) renaming. For example, apart from your standard melee knight and magic casting units, you'll be able to create the most feared creature in all the land: The Mother-in-Law. Her horrible presence will not only inspire (read: scare) your building units to work faster, but she also has the ability to move into enemy structures and take them over. The rest of the game's units have a playful sense about them, with cartoon-like portraits and phrases. Hell, even the game's resources are kind of silly. No gold, no wood, no food...just milk. Collected from grazing cows that will get fatter over time, milk can be collected and used to buy new units and buildings. Screw the "Got Milk" campaign. Here's a whole game for the dairy farmers of America to latch onto! In a great touch, killing enemy cows will yield a misty bovine spirit that floats up to the heavens, harp in tow. How very moo-ving.
