IGN is kicking off "The Witcher Week" with a bit of history and backstory. The article also links to other media and previews posted on the site. IGN also scored some new art as well including a nice looking wallpaper. The beginnings of the history of the witchers' guild have not disappeared in the darkness of the ages. Rather they appear to loom behind the mist created by time, human superstitions and the reluctance of the monster-vanquishers themselves to remember their past. This aura of mystery certainly makes the witchers' work easier, creating a psychological advantage and evoking the fear that always flows from that which has no name. On the other hand, it hinders the work of those of us who would like to probe the depths of history and better understand the present. In this effort to uncover the truth, we possess two tools: scholarly deduction and… fairy tales. Read the rest, view the screenshot and download the wallpaper here. | Source: IGN |
