Well turns out I was wrong, because the charts have recently been updated. Any guesses which game is number one? A quick glance at the 120,000+ subscribers chart shows the top five MMOGs to be: World of Warcraft, followed by Lineage, Lineage II, Final Fantasy XI, and then RuneScape. The numbers are far from perfect (see the analysis page for a list that details the author's own feeling on the accuracy of each game's data, and the last date when numbers were collected), but should still give some indication of the size and health of the MMOG industry.
