A new beta report for one of the most promising new entries in the MMORPG arena, Dark Age of Camelot, can be found at Camelot Outpost. It's accompanied by a lot of screenies. Here is how it starts:
When I first arrived, Lough Derg was astonishingly huge compared to the small farm village I grew up on. My family are shepherds (Elves are more suited to shepherd than to farm) and live in a small house on the outskirts of the Glorious Realm of Hibernia. Our lives have been simple but prosperous. It is the Path of Sheperding that we followed, part of the only Way that we knew, the Way of Agriculture.
All this changed, however, when King Authur, ruler of Albion, passed away. War broke out between the three realms: Midgard, Hibernia, and Albion. My family was called on to contribute one person to the war. My father was too old to learn a new and different life so I stepped forward to carry the family honor.
Now, I am at Lough Derg where the real journey begins. I have realized that I can not continue on the Way of Agriculture and follow the Path of Shepherding. I must choose a new Way. After talking to the veterans around the town, I understand that the Way of Stealth uses some skills also needed in sheperding. One example of this is the hiding skill. |
