Frictionless Insight has posted a hands-on preview of Pixel Rage's Blade & Sword which aims to bring the action-RPG genre to a Chinese setting. Here's a clip:The three available characters in Blade & Sword all must face the evil-polluted world with their weapons and wits, but each has his or her own strategy. The three characters’ fighting styles are inspired by different styles of Kung Fu. The woman has the least health, fights with a pair of knives, and is exceptionally quick. Her arsenal runs the gamut from magical projectiles to conventional kicks to the ability to summon an illusionary clone. A burly male character, the slowest and strongest of the character choices, wields special attacks even more powerful than his already sturdy blows, such as his Head-Butt, which sends him charging head first into enemies to damage and knock them back. Somewhere between these two characters is a balanced male with a long sword who gets special skills such as leaping attacks. |
