If these people and groups, in my opinion, truly believe they are going to have the same fan following and same level of interest post NWN2 they are in for a rude awakening. And not only will the work they did do be more or less wasted but I do not think the community will not look very kindly on them hording all this content for a project that they knew, honestly, was not going to see the light of day. Or at the least not see the light of day before it was overshadowed by the sequel.
