There is a Dungeon Siege interview as a starter for their Dungeon Siege Coverage over at Gamespy. Neal Hallford, responsible for story development, answers their questions. Here's a bit:

GameSpy: Have you developed a whole world for adventure or have you kept it more at the kingdom level, to perhaps be expanded in the future?

Neal Hallford: I know what some of the important places are beyond the borders of Ehb, and I know who lives in those places, and how they relate to the broad plotline, but I haven't gone into every last minute detail of all those elements yet, simply because I have to stop occasionally and work on the game itself. Eventually we'll explore the entire continent of Aranna, of which the Kingdom is only a tiny region in the west. The story threads I left in the game could really lead in a couple of different directions, and the main thing will be to see what direction that Chris, and I, and the rest of the team feel will make for the most exciting combination of art, story, and gameplay moving forward.
