America Online's new "certified email" system has been swallowing activation emails, preventing AOL users from activating their Face of Mankind accounts. Apparently there have been similar problems for users with Yahoo and Netscape email addresses. Users are urged to use other email services when signing up for the game.
Dear community,

we have recently noticed an increased amount of failed emails to the providers aol, yahoo and netscape.

Because of this, many of our new subscribers won't be able to receive their account activation emails and thus won't be able to login to subscribe to Face of Mankind. And many probably wondered, why.

Aol recently implemented a new so called "certified email" system that makes it very difficult for email senders to reach their targets. We highly suggest using email addresses from other providers to signup for Face of Mankind until Aol has improved or fixed this situation. This shall be no advise, request or invitation to change your current email provider. All we care about is our customers and that we are able to support them properly.
