SWG is a MMOPRG, developed by Verant (Everquest) for Lucas Arts and the reason Bioware's single player Star Wars RPG Knights of the Old Republich is delayed on the PC until 2003: The game is set just after the Death Star was destroyed and Darth Vader is still alive and he’s searching the galaxy for any remaining Jedi’s so he can once and for all remove any threat to his throne. The ultimate goal for your character is to gradually progress to become a Jedi Master, which is no easy task. Every action you take in the game affects how you become a Jedi Master, assuming you so much as manage that.
