The Stratos Group holds a lengthy preview of Icewind Dale II. Just like all the other previews that popped up in the last week or so, it's a "hands-on" preview based on a preview copy of the game.

Here's a little something from the article:
Now that Baldur's Gate has had a sequel and two expansions, and Icewind Dale has had its own expansions (including a free official one), Black Isle hopes to continue the line with their upcoming Icewind Dale II. Right now, you can sit down and play four games and four expansions, amounting to probably over a thousand hours of play with this system and engine. A lot of people have been asking themselves questions about Icewind Dale II: What would Icewind Dale II add that would make me want to invest another hundred or more hours? Why should I get this title if I already have the others? How is it different? Luckily, I was able to sit down yesterday with a preview build of the game and play through several hours of the campaign, so I will try to answer some of those questions, for good or ill.
