Leon Boyarsky continues his presence at the Bloodlines Inn, with more tidbits on Vampire: Bloodlines :Chewy goodness in the form of answers to your questions:
We have alot of different types of quests in Bloodlines, involving such things as following clues, gathering information, finding explosives to blow up a warehouse (oops, a little too specific there), killing things and people for fun and profit, etc. The most ironic thing about the whole 'fed ex' thing is that I remember playing a fairly successful RPG (that shall remain nameless) right after reading a review of it that said there were virtually no fed ex quests in it at all, and the first thing I needed to do was to find something for someone and bring it back to them. If that's not a fed ex quest, then I could unequivocally state without reservation that we have absolutely no fed ex quests in Bloodlines .
Lower Humanity will also govern the choices available to you in dialogs. If you have a low enough humanity, you're reply options tend to gravitate toward rude and insensitive in alot of dialogs.
When you frenzy, your strength, stamina, and wits increase, and you 'equip' feral claws so you're doing aggravated damage. The Gangrel by default gets some huge bonuses when they frenzy.
Max feat level is 10, but certain disciplines, armor, occult items, etc, can boost it beyond 10.
When you have a high enough Research and read a specific manula, your stat will only increase by one. In addition to a Research requirement, there also might be a stat requirement. For instance, if you get a high grade Firearms manual, your firearms ability will need to be at a certain level to 'upgrade' it.
Statistically, your dodge and block are factored behind the scenes, and basically act as a damage filter (we never take control from you to play a dodge or block anim). In addition to damage reduction, if you have a high defense and soak rating, you will be getting knocked back less. If you actively block by using the alt fire key, it increases your defense by an amount equal to your dexterity - and it increases the odds of throwing the enemy off balance.
Merchants will buy anything that has a value, and your prices for buying/selling can be altered by your Haggle feat.
