The game receives high praise and an award of excellence. Here's the last paragraph of that review: Freedom Force is an exceptional game and worthy of praise. It stands as both a delightful homage to the silver age of comics and as a game that breaks the tired sequel mold that most computer games are seemingly locked into. Best of all, the entire system is likely to improve, as the promised skirmish mode and mission editor are released. Technically, it may not stand out from the cutting edge games, but in pure gaming pleasure and enjoyment it is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
