Johan Tenga, Lead Designer for Funcom's Age of Conan, has updated his blog at 1UP with some details of the game's progress so far.
There has been a lot of activity in the office this week as we have had a TV crew visiting us from TechTV. They were here to check out both Age of Conan and Dreamfall, and they even shot some footage from the game as well. I don't know when it is going on the air but be sure to keep an eye on their site for more info if you want to make sure you don't miss it.

Like I mentioned last time out the E3 preparations are still in full swing and it is going to be some hard work to get everything done. I have seen some layout pictures of our booth though and it looks really cool.

Content production is coming along nicely and we have produced around a hundred quests over the last month. As I said before the quest production is really a huge job so getting this up and running is a big relief. For me though it means I'll be spending most of my time in reviews and play testing over the coming weeks.

We are also starting to finish up the spec'ing of all the class feats. Spec'ing is when you do the content design of things like spells and feats. You balance everything out, deciding which buffs should go where, when players should get access to new spells, how much mana they should cost, how much damage should they do etc. Doing this for a couple of hundred spells and abilities is no small task! Once the design is done you sit down and implement them in the tools, placing them into the game, that part at least is much faster.
