Only 2 out of 5 - this is the rating for Konung: Legends of the North in a Intelligamer. Here's why they thing it doesn't deserve more:

You see, combat is painful. Boring, repetitive and painful. Let me repeat. It is boring and repetitive. The exact opposite of what it should be since the game requires a lot of it. In nearly every instance you will come upon a group of from 6 to 12 monsters all of the same type. These monsters will guard an area, go into it and they will attack, dodge out of it and they forget all about you. OK. Now, any one of these your level, maybe even two, and you can stand two to toe and chop them up. But any more than that and you are just going to die. No ifs, ands or buts, you will just die. That's because when you get hit you can't hit back for a moment. Heck, even low level monsters can kill a much higher level player by swarming him, and all monsters save one swarm.

Thus in order to survive you are reduced to one strategy. Using your bow or sword, run in and take a single shot on the nearest bad guy, maybe two, then run out of their aggression radius again. Repeat this a couple hundred times until that group of monsters is dead. Quaff a healing potion and do it again on the next group. Could this be any more tedious?
