Two Dungeon Siege Interviews to report about: GameZone21 interviews Chris Taylor on the game, and AllOutGames has an interview with Neal Hallford. From the latter, this snip is taken:
AOG: So, how did you and Mr. Chris Taylor get hooked up?

NH: Chris and I first crossed paths about five years ago, which now that I think about it seems unbelievable. It doesn't seem possible that it wasn't yesterday, but then again, he's been such an awesomely good boss and friend to me that I swear it's like we've been buds a long, long time. Some people just strike you that way.

In any case, our meeting dates to sometime in early 1997. At the time I was a lead designer on Elysium, which was an episodic role-playing game that John Cutter and I had created for Cavedog Entertainment. In those days I was working from my home in San Diego, and taking a train up to Bothell about three times a year to hash things out with the team, and generally synch up with the project's progress. Early on, Chris was cubby holed into an office next to John's, so usually whenever I went up for a meeting, John and I would sometimes end up in Chris' office discussing ideas that we wanted to bounce off a neutral party. Later on, after Cavedog moved into a new building, Chris and his team ended up elsewhere, so I sadly didn't get much chance to see him on later trips, but we'd both made enough of an impression on one another that we both could recognize and admire each other's talents.
