Jolt's Martin Wharmby presents his rather slightly enthusiastic review for the PC version of Microids' Still Life - Martin gives Still Life an overall 6.4 out of 10 rating...

Yet no matter how straightforward Still Life is and how simple it looks, it’s incredibly easy to fall for. Aside from a few unnecessary inflections and misplaced accents here and there, the storytelling and voice acting is superb. Unlike many adventure titles, you never get the feeling that what you’re doing is extraneous or just there to extend the experience, so once you’re into it you’re hooked. While it may not have the forensic detail of the CSI games, a deep storyline or any real challenge in its puzzles, Still Life tells a fantastic tale. Adventure game devotees will love it, but gamers who crave brain-melting challenges may find themselves a bit peeved when they finish it off in seven hours.
