The third 'The Witcher' peek at RPG Vault is about the racial conflicts in CD Projekt's fantasy RPG.
Animated by dark magic, the mindless Drowned Dead despise anything living. Their bloated bodies are filled with noxious vapors capable of paralyzing any opponent who happens to wound them. Thought by some scholars to be extinct, the Bonehead is physically reminiscent of a massive ape, but with a double row of teeth so sharp they can shred wood or even metal. Graveirs resemble large ghouls. Each has short, thick claws that are well suited to digging in the ground, jaws strong enough to splinter bones, and a long, thin tongue perfect for the task of licking the marrow so exposed.

Based on a best-selling dark fantasy literary property created by author Andrzej Sapkowski, Polish-based studio CD Projekt's The Witcher will cast the player as a member of the titular profession, which consists of warriors who have been selected as youths, then especially reared and trained to hunt and kill such monsters. Although, as you might expect, the gameplay is slated to have a considerable combat component, the team has made it clear that its intention is to add a compelling story with unexpected twists and turns. Naturally, we're eager to stay abreast of how work on the title is progressing.
